The ELS Adventure English Camp offers a 3-week experience designed for young people who wish for a recreational vacation programme in Malaysia with an element of English study. Your child will gain confidence in speaking English, which will be useful throughout their life. They will also participate in an activity-filled vacation, and gain insight into Malaysian culture as well as the cultures of their fellow students.

Frequently Asked Questions

• My children are 12 years old and 10 years old and do not meet the age requirement for the programme. Can I register them for the programme?

  We accept children of minimum age 12. Please discuss with our counselors if you will like to enroll your child below age 12.

• If my son/ daughter is 17 years old, can he /she join the Adventure English Camp or there is other programme for him/her?

  The Adventure English Camp is specially designed for 13 – 16 years old. However, our Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) is a full-time course and very popular amongst our international & local students as it enables students to acquire high English level proficiency skill in a short-span of time. This programme is suitable for your son/ daughter and those of age 17 and above who wish to further their studies to universities/colleges and also, for those who wish to advance in their career.

• Can I enroll my child for more than one module?

  Teaching materials and excursions for all 3 modules in the Adventure English Camp are similar. It will be beneficial for your child if he/ she can join our very popular ongoing Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) to further enhance her English skills once he/ she has completed our Adventure English Camp module.

• What about the camp staff who will be supervising my child?

  As welfare of our students is of our utmost concern, our camp staff is selected for their experience, enthusiasm, desire and ability to work well with children. Staff training includes safety procedures, programme planning, skills development, and techniques in working with children.

• How can I register my child and make payment for the ELS Adventure English Camp?

  Please download the 2008 Adventure English Camp Application Form for registration. Payment can be made through bank draft or telegraphic transfer, you may find the bank account details as stated in the application form.

• When is the deadline for the registration?

  Below are the closing dates for registration of the 3 modules:-
  Module 1: Closing date – 23rd June 2008.
  Module 2: Closing date – 7th July 2008.
  Module 3: Closing date – 28th July 2008.
  Note: Limited places are allocated for each module and we are on a first- come- first – serve basis.

• Can I pay a deposit to secure a seat?

  Yes, you may pay a non-refundable deposit of RM350. However, full payment must be received one week before the summer camp module begins.

• Does ELS assist in arranging accommodation for my child?

  Yes, meals and lodgings are included in the package during the 5 days adventure camp and 4 days of two weekends’ excursions. However, accommodation is not included during the 10 days studies at ELS Language Centres. If you need ELS to reserve accommodation for your child, please contact ELS - Central Admission Office 14 days prior the session begin for advance booking.

• Does ELS provide airport pick-up service upon my child arrival?

  Yes, ELS Central Admission will arrange the airport transfer and please contact them by email (isd@els.edu.my) or fax the airport pick-up form to 603-6201-6989. Please arrange the service at least 7 days before arrival.

• Are there any insurance coverage?

  Yes, your child will be covered under personal accident and hospitalization during the entire camp (i.e. 3 weeks).

• Will I receive more details and information about the camp activities?

  Approximately 10 days prior to your child’s camp experience, you will receive an email from ELS Central Admission Office. The email will include an outline of a typical day, what to bring (and not to bring) to camp, important information and more.
