Who is this programme for?

This programme is especially for the business men and women who require strong speaking and writing skills for business success. The Business Communication Progamme will equip you with the necessary skills to communicate effectively in your business environment. It will address a wide range of communication skills including persuasion, negotiation and social conversations in both formal and informal business settings. In terms of writing, this programme will also train you on persuasive writing and other business correspondence writing such as memos, emails, reports and a variety of business letters.

Participants need to meet the minimum requirement of the CIEP High Intermediate Level or equivalent to undertake this programme.

What is the structure of the programme?

This is a part-time programme. An ELS Placement Test will be conducted prior to the commencement of the programme. You will have to sit for a Placement Test, only those who achieve a high Intermediate level of English are eligible to join this programme. Each level consists of 12 meetings and takes 6 weeks to complete (2 meetings a week).

What will you learn?

  • There will be a strong focus in improving your business speaking and writing skills.
  • Your business vocabulary will also be developed.
  • You will also be trained to communicate effectively by writing.
  • E-learning is an essential component in this programme and you will have free access to the ELS Language Technology Centre to maximise your learning ability.

Course Structure
  • 5 hours per week over 6 weeks per level
  • Tuesdays from 6.30pm to 9.00pm
    Thursdays from 6.30pm to 9.00pm
Pre-Requisite CEP High Intermediate Level or equivalent
Maximum Class Size 15 students per class
