Recently, we were delighted to welcome a delegation from Japan who visited us at the ELS Language Centre in UPM (Universiti Putra Malaysia). Organised by the Tourism Malaysia office in Tokyo, the brief visit allowed the guests to witness a successful collaboration between a public university and a private institution – where ELS graduates are recognised as English proficient students by the University for admission into their degree/postgraduate programmes. The Centre’s Academic Director, Mr. Douglas Fraser and ELS VP of International Relations, Mr. Robert Brander, took our guests around the Centre and showed them how ELS classes are conducted. Thanks to Tourism Malaysia, ELS will also be featured in their upcoming publication about education in Malaysia. At ELS, we believe this is a great opportunity to show Japan that Malaysia is a great hub for international students to study English and learn about every variety of culture that is to be found in this truly Asian country.
