What is 24/7 English?

24/7 English is an online course that helps you improve your English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. It is based on a popular English course book series called “Language in Use” by Cambridge University Press. This programme allows students to efficiently improve their English outside of the classroom. The course consists of three levels. Students are encouraged to take the 24/7 English online placement test to find out which level in the programme they belong to.

How do I use it?

24/7 English is a fully online course. This means that you will always need broadband internet access everytime you use 24/7 English. The programme is filled with interactive activities, animations and videos that are structured in pages. You should complete each activity and advance to subsequent pages until you complete the entire level.

Practise your speaking

24/7 English has special SPEAKING features in it. You can get instant results in your speaking skills by special tools that improve you pronunciation, intonation and stress and unstressed syllables.

How to get 24/7 English?

All CIEP students will have free access to 24/7 English in the ELS Language Technology Centre.
